Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small file a website can place in your browser to recognise you on later visits. Local storage and session storage work similarly but stay only in your browser; a website cannot send them out automatically, and a third-party request is simply the browser fetching a file (such as a font or a script) from another provider's server, which sees your IP address when it answers that request.

Courchevel Luxury Car Rental sets no cookies of its own on courchevelluxurycarrental.fr, and we have installed no analytics, no advertising, and no social-media tracking on the site. Under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the CNIL guidelines on cookies, only strictly necessary technologies may be used without prior consent; since we use none that require it, we do not display a consent banner for tracking cookies.

The two browser-storage entries listed in the table above are the only ones we use. Neither contains your name, email, phone number or any other contact detail — they only hold a yes/no flag for the cookie notice and, temporarily, the label of a car you clicked on so the enquiry form opens pre-filled. Both stay on your device and are never transmitted to us as tracking data.

Two third-party providers are contacted automatically when a page loads:

• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces displayed on the site; Google receives the IP address of the request.
• jsDelivr serves the intl-tel-input library used for the phone-number field in our enquiry and airport-delivery forms; jsDelivr receives the IP address of the request.

Neither provider sets a cookie on our behalf, and we do not combine the IP addresses they receive with any other data about you.

The WhatsApp buttons on the site set nothing in your browser and make no request to WhatsApp until you click one. When you do, we record the click in our own booking system (page URL, referrer, language and the prefilled message text) so our team can follow up, and your browser then opens WhatsApp. From that point the conversation runs on WhatsApp, operated by Meta, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy, which is outside our control.

You can clear local storage and session storage, or block third-party requests, through your browser's privacy or site-data settings; doing so will simply mean the cookie notice reappears and the enquiry form no longer prefills your chosen car. If we ever introduce an optional cookie, for example for analytics, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before it is set. Questions about this page, or about data we hold on you, can be sent to [email protected], and complaints about cookie practices can also be addressed to the CNIL at www.cnil.fr.
